WHICH THEY WERE SITTING. 3 AND THERE APPEARED TO THEM TONGUES RESEMBLING FIRE, WHICH WERE SEPARATED AND DISTRIBUTED AND WHICH SETTLED ON EACH ONE OF THEM. 4 AND THEY WERE ALL FILLED (DIFFUSED THROUGHOUT THEIR SOULS) WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND BEGAN TO SPEAK IN OTHER (DIFFERENT, FOREIGN) LANGUAGES (TONGUES), AS THE SPIRIT KEPT GIVING THEM CLEAR AND LOUD EXPRESSION [IN EACH TONGUE IN APPROPRIATE WORDS]. Remember what George Washington did and said the day he took the oath of office the first time? He opened his Bible to Genesis 17:1-2. Let's look at it in the AMPC: "When Abram was ninety-nine years old, The LORD appeared to him and said, I am the Almighty God; walk and live habitually before Me and be perfect (blameless, wholehearted, complete). And I will make My covenant (solemn pledge) between Me and you and will multiply you exceedingly." (AMPC), the word life is referring to spirit, soul and body. Does that include victory over death? Yes! Victory over poverty? Yes! How do you and I know that? Galatians 3:13-16 (AMPC): Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified); to the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, THE BLESSING [promised] to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive [the realization of] the promise of the [Holy] Spirit. To speak in terms of human relations, brethren, [if] even a man makes a last will and testament (a merely human covenant), no one sets it aside or makes it void or add to it when once it has been drawn up and signed (ratified, confirmed). Now the promises (covenants, agreements) were decreed and made to Abraham and his Seed (his Offspring, his Heir). He [God] does not say, And to seeds (descendants, heirs), as if referring to many persons, but, And to your Seed (your Descendant, your Heir), obviously Then he shocked everyone. He kneeled down, kissed his Bible, and looking up toward heaven, said, "YOU WILL BE OUR GOD, AND WE WILL BE YOUR PEOPLE." The scripture inscribed on the Liberty Bell is Leviticus 25:10: "Proclaim LIBERTY THROUGHOUT ALL THE LAND UNTO ALL THE INHABITANTS THEREOF." This is all well and good. But what does "victorious over the world" mean? You and I know that when the Bible speaks of "the world," it is talking about "the flesh" or the "natural man." For instance, in 2 Peter 1:3 referring to one individual, Who is [none other than] Christ (the Messiah). Now look at verse 29 in the AMPC: "And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abraham's Seed], then you are Abraham's offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise"—RATIFIED BY THE SINLESS AND PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS! The great Apostle Paul, by THE GREATER ONE living inside him, answered all these questions, and many others, in the first letter he wrote to the church at Corinth.
