3. Reduce Risk of Musculoskeletal Disorders
Incorporate ergonomic workplace design and
safe work practices to enhance workplace safety
and efficiency.
Ensuring safe work practices and implementing
ergonomic workplace design can help reduce risk
of developing MSDs. Safe work practices—such
as proper lifting techniques, use of mechanical
aids, and adherence to handling procedures—
help reduce strain, overexertion, and injury risk.
Ergonomic design can minimize physical stress
by optimizing workstation layout, adjusting
equipment to fit workers, and reducing awkward
movements. Together, these strategies create
a safer, more efficient work environment that
significantly lowers the likelihood of MSDs.
