the 90s, one part of the building that may be
out of sight, but should not be out of mind, is
your roof. Like all mechanical equipment, your roof has
a life expectancy. Regular inspections and maintenance
by a certified roofing company or contractor can help
identify potential issues before they become major
problems and help prolong the life of your roof.
Here are some common issues to
check regularly as your roof ages:
1. Damaged: Cracks, rips, or tears can expose the
underlying roof structure to water.
2. Cracked, damaged or poorly sealed roof
penetrations: Flashing or boots around any
penetrations are a common area where water can
seep in if not properly maintained. Exhausts for
bleacher heaters can cause condensation and roofing
materials to expand and contract.
