WELCOME FROM MAYOR OF TEMECULA
On behalf of the City of Temecula, we are honored and
proud that the United States Eventing Association
(USEA) American Eventing Championships (AEC)
presented by Nutrena Feeds, will be held at Galway
Downs Equestrian Event Center, located in Temecula
Valley. Temecula Valley encompasses the City of
Temecula and the unincorporated rural Riverside
County region of picturesque Southern California Wine
Country and the Temecula Equestrian District, where
the expansive 242-acre Galway Downs is surrounded by
rolling hills and breathtaking scenery.
As the closest City to the venue, I am pleased to extend a warm greeting
to the competitors, spectators, sponsors, vendors, and staff from across the
Nation attending the renowned American Eventing Championships. The
AEC schedule of events, set to take place from August 27-31, 2025, promises
an exhilarating week of competition at all levels of the equestrian Olympic
sport of Eventing—from Starter to Advanced. The prestigious and highly
regarded United States Eventing Association, and its venue selection for the
AEC, emphasizes Galway Downs' reputation as an Olympic-caliber premier
venue of equestrian excellence.
Beyond the competition grounds, we invite everyone to explore Temecula
as a destination that attracts visitors from all corners of the globe. Enjoy
Southern California's vineyards and wineries, experience the thrill of
morning hot air balloon rides above Temecula Valley, or explore our charming
Old Town Temecula with its boutique shops, restaurants and live music. For
additional entertainment, consider Pechanga Resort Casino or play a round
at one of our championship golf courses.
Temecula is thrilled to support all those involved in the USEA and the
American Eventing Championships in their first year competing on the West
Coast at the world-class equestrian venue of Galway Downs.
Enjoy your stay and feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Sincerely
Brenden Kalfus, Mayor
City of Temecula
