WELCOME FROM GALWAY DOWNS ORGANIZER
On behalf of the entire team at Galway Downs,
I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to
the Board of Governors and staff of the United
States Eventing Association for entrusting
us with the tremendous honor of hosting the
USEA American Eventing Championships for
the first time on the West Coast.
Bringing the AEC to Galway Downs has been
an extraordinary opportunity—not only for
our facility, but for the broader West Coast
eventing community. Your confidence in our
venue and your collaborative spirit have
provided the best chance to make this event
not only possible, but will hopefully be a truly
memorable experience.
A special thank you to Rob Burk, Lou Leslie, and Kate Lokey for your tireless
dedication, guidance, and vision throughout the planning and execution
of this championship. Your leadership set the tone for excellence, and your
support was instrumental every step of the way. To the full USEA team—
your behind-the-scenes work, professionalism, and commitment to the sport
were evident in every detail.
We would also like to give special recognition and heartfelt appreciation to
the incredible Galway Downs staff, whose passion and dedication brought
this championship to life. Most notably, we extend our deepest thanks
to property owners Ken and Tina Smith and the entire Smith family.
Their vision, investment, and commitment have truly changed the face of
equestrian sport in our region. Their support and leadership have made
Galway Downs a destination for world-class competition and an inspiring
home for the eventing community.
Together, we've created an event that we anticipate will showcase the
strength, passion, and unity of the sport across the country. We are proud to
be a part of this historic moment and look forward to continuing to raise the
standard for championship competition in the years to come.
