So far, our 25th year serving the American rink industry has been great, membership is trending toward another all-time high, the 21st annual North American Rink Conference & Expo event was one of the largest ever, and our Regional Training Programs held this summer and fall have been very well attended. You can check out our remaining training opportunities in 2025 start- ing on page 25. Every issue of RINK we highlight one of our Facility Members, and in this issue, we've featured the Wings Arena in Stamford, Connecticut. You can read more about this brand-new community rink on page 18. With the start of hockey season, your building and equip- ment are going to start taking a beating, especially your dasher boards. The article on page 34 focuses on best practices for dash- er board and shielding system inspections and maintenance. Starting on page 36 you'll find an article reflecting on the sig- nificant accomplishments, organizational changes and tragedies that our partner U.S. Figure Skating faced during the 2024-25 skating season. And finally, we've a included a piece in our Real Programs section regarding a Try Sled Hockey for Free program that was developed and implemented suc- cessfully by the staff at the University of Colorado Boulder Student Recreation Center ice rink. As always, I hope you enjoy this issue of RINK. P.S.
