6 T E S T I M "Savannah was a first time location for our annual meeting and trade show. We knew from the first planning trip the city would be a fit for our group as it provides flexibility. The convention center offers meeting and exhibit space to accommodate groups of all sizes. The hotel package has a variety of room rates from high end boutique properties, convention hotels to nearby limited service options. The feedback from attendees and exhibitors was positive as they enjoyed the unique location and charm of Savannah." J O D I E W I LM OT Senior Director Events and Meetings, National Association of College Stores "When Meetings Today chooses a destination for its hosted buyer events, we work very closely with the DMO in that destination. Our style is to showcase a destination and provide planners with as many new and unique ways to use that destination. We have incorporated CSR and learning into our agenda consistently and try to find unique attributes to showcase a city. "In Savannah, headquarters of the Girl Scouts of America, we had a great opportunity to teach our attendees about the history. In going through the various parts of the house that served as the birthplace of the Girl Scouts, attendees became very engaged and curious. We took the opportunity to make plans to purchase cookies for the troops overseas in yet another element of this CSR experience. "In truth, the event surveys when we left Savannah showcased just how special and important items like this are in an event!"
