THE BFGOODRICH TIRES 58TH SCORE BAJA 1000 PREVIEW The Exciting Finale Of The 2025 Season By Dan Sanchez Photos by Get Some Photo A culmination of challenges, new rules, and incredible demonstrations of Baja class-racing dominance, will come to a head at this year’s BFGoodrich Tires 58th SCORE Baja 1000. Taking place November 10-16th in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, the race will challenge the best off-road racers in the world, with some chasing the class championship crown, and others looking to complete every mile of the 2025 season with a Rod Hall SCORE Milestone Award. POINTS LEADERS BATTLING FOR A CHAMPIONSHIP This year’s SCORE Baja 1000 has several racers battling for a Class Championship. While some racers have dominated their classes, winning the first three races of the 2025 SCORE season, others are too close in championship season points. Those racers will have to run a near perfect race at the SCORE Baja 1000, to win their class and take the championship at the same time. 2025 SEASON SUPER SWEEPERS SCORE Trophy Truck 343 Points- Alan Ampudia could make history and sweep the season and win a back-to-back SCORE Trophy Truck Class Championship, if he wins at the SCORE Baja 1000. SCORE Trophy Truck Legends 319 Points - With 15 consecutive wins, Vildosola Sr. and Johnson are favored to take another win and class championship. It would be their fourth in a row. Baja, however, may have other plans. Pro UTV Open 366 Points - Brock Heger leads the UTV Open class with a first place sweep in all three races this season. If he can place in the top three at the SCORE Baja 1000, he will secure his second UTV Open Class Championship. Pro Moto Unlimited 315 Points - Tyler Lynn and Carter Klein on the 7x bike have won every race this season, but will have to ride a perfect race at the SCORE Baja 1000, to sweep the class and take the class championship away from the 1x team of Arturo Salas Jr. Pro Moto 30 315 Points - With a three-win sweep in Pro Moto 30, Jason Alosi and his team need to finish on the podium at the SCORE Baja 1000 to win the class championship. Pro Moto Limited 323 Points - Bhaskar Ramani and his 127x International team of riders, has swept the last three races and can run-away with the class championship with another win or a podium finish at the SCORE Baja 1000. Pro Moto 40 315 Points - Another Pro Moto team looking to sweep the 2025 race series is last year’s champion Shane Esposito on the 400x bike. Esposito has no challenge to repeating his championship crown this year, and merely has to finish the SCORE Baja 1000. Pro Moto 60 315 Points - Harold Harris and his 600x championship team are once again looking to get another Pro Moto 60 Championship. The team has swept the class this year and is looking to win again at the SCORE Baja 1000. TIGHT CLASS RACES FOR A CHAMPIONSHIP 2WD Trophy Truck The season started with Cameron Steel in the No. 16T truck winning the first two races of the, but a DNF at the SCORE Baja 400 left the door open for Sam Baldi in the No. 82T, Dave Taylor in the No. 26T, and David Zieger in the 15T truck to have a chance at the first class championship for this division. 312 Points - Sam Baldi had not been on the podium all season, but was consistent and rose to the top of the points standings in this class. 311 Points - Dave Taylor in the No. 26T truck is right behind Baldi and also has a chance of winning the 2WD class championship. 298 Points - Dave Ziegler in the No. 15T truck also has a shot at the championship, should he have a great race and win the class. Class 1 Vehicle problems and DNFs have plagued most of the competitors in Class 1 this season. He will once again be challenged by the Wilson Motorsports team to claim the crown. 298 Points - Trying to gain a second consecutive Class 1 Championship, Cody Reid will have to finish on the podium at the SCORE Baja 1000. He finished first at the SCORE San Felipe 250, second at the SCORE Baja 500, and 5th at the SCORE Baja 400. 246 Points - Once again, Brad Wilson in the No. 138 buggy is chasing Reid for the class championship.
