THE CLEAN-UP CREW Tyler Lynn And The SLR Team Continue Their Sweep In Pro Moto Unlimited By Mike Vieira Photos by Get Some Photo Tyler Lynn and the 7X Slam Life Racing Honda team earned another Pro Moto Unlimited and Overall Motorcycle win in this year’s SCORE Baja 400. This brings the team’s unbroken string of victories to five in recent SCORE races, after the 2024 SCORE Baja 1000 class win. Overall, the Baja 400 went smoothly for the team with Lynn taking the bike for the first portion of the race.  “Transitioning from night to day, I struggled with it a little bit more this time than I had in the previous races,” he said. “I had one small tip over, but other than that, I still think I put in a decent ride to get a gap of about five minutes by a hundred miles in, and kept that gap until I got off the bike.” Carter Klein then took over at mile 255 and stretched the lead to about nine minutes as he ran to the finish.  “Carter, my teammate, rode the second half really well,” says Lynn.  “This is the best ride that I think he’s put on at a SCORE event, so I’m super proud of that.  The team was super happy, and I know he was super happy, so that’s a big confidence booster going into the 1000, so we’re excited.” The team’s successful record is driven in part by their confidence in their preparation and practice, and in the new knowledge they take in from each race.  “We expect to win every time we go out,” says Lynn.  “We put in a lot of pre-run miles every time we go; our team puts in a lot of effort, and everyone just puts in a lot of hard work.  They do their job, and so we’re expected to do ours.  I feel like the best way to pay that back is just to go out and win.” For the upcoming BFGoodrich Tires 58th SCORE Baja 1000, the only change planned for the Honda CRF450X is the addition of lighting for the extensive night running. Lynn says he looks forward to that, feeling it will help him ride faster and more safely in the darkness.  Once the course maps are out, the team will decide on which riders will take on each section of the course to maximize the strengths of each.  At the moment, Lynn and Kline are the only team members set to ride for the Baja 1000, but an additional rider or two might be added to the team mix before race time.  Lynn says they’re planning to start first, and finish first, and are coming out ready to fight for the championship.  Looking toward the 2026 SCORE season, Lynn says, “Probably the biggest change for next year is that hopefully we’ll have a number 1 on our motorcycle, but other than that, we’re just going to continue to work hard and try being better next year than we were this year.” SJ
