4 WHEEL CLASSES
THE LONG HAUL
•
Dan Chamlee took
the Class 7 win
t
his year's course was much more difficult for the four-wheel classes, who
had to drive through deep ruts and rocks carved out by the SCORE Trophy
Trucks and Class 1 vehicles ahead of them. As a result, many didn't finish
within the 36-hour time limit. But those who managed to be resilient and
drive conservatively, made it through to the end to be rewarded with a class
victory.
The battle to regain the Class 7 championship title this season was a big challenge
for former Class Champion Dan Chamlee. Chamlee had set a record 19 Class
Champions in Class 7, but lost it in 2024 to Richard Faint of Rhys Millen Racing. At
this SCORE Baja 1000, Chamlee was determined to win, but Rhys Millen and the
tough Baja course were not going to make it easy.
