Race Rumors HERO Racing On A New Ducati The H.E.R.O. SCORE Pro Moto Unlimited racing team will be riding the new Ducati 450 Desmo for the SCORE 2026 season. " We’re honored to bring Ducati to Baja for the first time during their 100th anniversary year," said team manager/owner Giovanni Spinali. "Ciaran Naran will serve as our rider of record, with Lyndon Snodgrass joining as his co-rider. We’re also excited to announce our transition to Troy Lee Designs gear and helmets, along with a new switch to Precision Concepts suspension." We’re happy to continue our partnerships with Optima, Method Race Wheels, Heatwave Visual, FMF, Hinson, Scotts, IMS, ODI, Xtrig, Thrillseekers, RL Jones, Rookies to Racers, Lifestyle Garage, TM Designs, Motocutz, Nitro Mousse, Dirt Tricks, DID, Acerbis, Baja Designs, and of course Baja Bound Insurance. Australian Sam Pretscherer Joins 1X Team The SCORE Pro Moto Unlimited 1x team of Tyler Lynn and Carter Klein will have Australian Sam Pretscherer on the team for the 2026 season. Pretscherer has been competing and winning in the U.S. for the last two years and was recently signed on by the SLR Honda team to help in SCORE Baja races. Luke McMillin Sporting New Engine And Possibly 42" BFG Tires Champion SCORE Trophy Truck racer Luke McMillin will start the 2026 SCORE World Desert Challenge season with a new Gibbs Racing engine in his No. 83 Mason AWD Trophy Truck. The truck may also have a new set of BFGoodrich Tires 42-inch diameter Baja racing tires mounted on 18-inch Method Race Wheels. According to McMillin they have been testing the tires and that there are both some advantages and changes that need to take place. "BFGoodrich Tires is the best in the business because they develop tires really well. I'm fortunate enough to be a part of that team. It's risk versus reward and we're eager to go on testing but our goal is to win Baja races. The 42's definitely has its advantages, but we may keep on the 40's for the first few races of the season." 2025 Pro Moto Unlimited Champ Larry Serna, Taking A Break Pro Moto Ironman Champion Larry Serna said he is taking a break during the 2026 season. "I’ve been racing in SCORE since I was 15, and it’s time for a pause. I have nothing to prove to anyone." Dan McMillin Moves To SCORE TT Spec SCORE Trophy Truck racer Dan McMillin announced he is moving to SCORE Trophy Truck Spec racing with Bryce Swaim in the No. 242 truck. McMillin’s #23 AWD Trophy Truck was purchased by Concrete Motorsports. Christopher Polvoorde Signs With Red Bull With a new agreement from Red Bull Christopher Polvoorde has become a Red Bull Athlete, showcasing the energy drink's logo on his racing apparel and the No. 94 Mason AWD SCORE Trophy Truck. "I'm pretty excited," said Polvoorde. "It's a dream come true. It's been so cool." Adam Householder To Compete In SCORE TT After competing in the 2025 SCORE San Felipe 250 in SCORE TT 2WD, Adam Householder will compete in SCORE Trophy Truck for the 2026 Season in a AWD SCORE Trophy Truck Nick and John Vanderwey Returning To SCORE 2WD TT For the 2026 season the Vanderwey team will be driving the No. 84 2WD SCORE TT named “La Vaquita.” Nick Vanderwey previously drove the RPM Racing Chevy Trophy Truck and has won numerous SCORE Baja 500 races. Eva Star Malaban Moves To SCORE Pro UTV Open The 2024 SCORE Rookie OTY and 2025 Season Pro UTV NA 2nd Place season finisher announced she is moving into the SCORE Pro UTV Open Class for the 2026 Season. Bolivian Rider Fabricio Fuentes Returns To SCORE Returning to the SCORE Pro Moto Ironman Class is “The People’s Champion” Fabricio Fuentes from Bolivia. Fuentes last raced during the 2023 season and will be welcomed by SCORE fans for the 2026 season. On The Edge with Juanpa Zurita The Mexican internet personality, Juanpa Zurita just came out with his documentary called "On The Edge With Juanpa." In the documentary Zurita showcases his Baja racing in 2025, along with other high adrenaline stunts. The documentary is available on Roku TV. SJ
