Shattuck St-Mary's Wins Its First Chipotle-USA Hockey Tier 15O Title
Okanagan Hockey Club Wins Chipotle-USA Hockey Youth Tier I 16U
National Championship For Program's First National Title
A NEW CHAMPIONSHIP
DRAMATIC VICTORY
Shattuck St-Mary's (MN) overcame an
early two-goal deficit to win the Chipotle-
USA Hockey 15O Championship and defeat
Saints Hockey Club (NY) 5-4.
The tradition-rich program out of
Minnesota has always fared well in the
national tournament at almost every age
level. But this marks the first time Shattuck
has ever won a title at the 15O level.
Teddy Doherty, head coach for Shattuck-
St. Mary's, actually won a USA Hockey
Youth Tier I 18U National Championship as
a player while at Shattuck-St Mary's, and
now he is proud to help lead Shattuck to a
championship at the 15O level from behind
the bench.
"We battled so much adversity. It's insane,
I can't even describe it," said Doherty. "If we
went down one or two, it really wouldn't
faze us. They were so dialed in, and we
knew it wasn't going to fluster us."
It's a moment Jackson Woodward
had dreamed about his entire life.
When it came time for the
Okanagan Hockey Colorado (CO)
defenseman to make his dream a
reality, he didn't miss.
Woodward scored 6:28 into
overtime to give Okanagan a come-
from-behind 3-2 victory over the
St. Louis Jr. Blues (MO) in the title
game of the 2026 Chipotle-USA
Hockey Youth Tier I 16U National
Championship at the Cornerstone
Community Center on Sunday.
"I couldn't sleep last night, so I
didn't dream last night," Woodward
joked. "But it's every kid's dream from
the time you're playing knee hockey
as a kid, dreaming of the OT, Game 7
to now. It's unreal."
