WELCOME TO BONITA SPRINGS and the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point for the 2026 AHCA Convention! As in the past, we are providing a brief guide outlining what you need to know, especially for those of you attending your first AHCA Convention. NAME BADGES: Anyone who has registered for the Convention will need a name badge to get into most sessions. The Convention comes with costs and so we need to monitor who gains access to certain events. Other than speakers and special guests, one needs to be a paid member of the AHCA to come to the Convention and attend- ees must also register and pay the appropriate Convention fee. To expedite the distribution of badges, Division I registered members will re- ceive their badges at league meetings that take place prior to the start of the Convention. There will also be registration and badge pick-up on Wednesday, April 29, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. and again on Thursday, April 30, from 8:00 - 8:30 a.m. MEMBERSHIP AND CONVENTION COSTS: There are multiple Membership categories. NCAA Coaches (i.e., head coach, assistant coaches and volunteers) are covered by one fee: $500 for a Division I program and $300 for a Division II-III program. Anyone who makes a living in hockey but is not a "coach," can join as an Allied Member at $100 for the year. A youth, amateur or high school coach can join for $40. The individual Convention Fee is now $300 (after March 1). The only other cost at the Convention would be for either of the Coach of the Year events. Actual NCAA staff members get in free. All others will be charged $50 for either event. (Note: Award winners are not charged and get a free table to accommodate guests.) SPECIAL EVENTS TO NOTE: Please see the section in this guide labeled "Trade Show 2026" that identifies our sponsors and where they can be found. Also, the two Coach of the Year events are now both midday luncheons. The men's event will take place on Wednesday, April 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The women's event will take place on Thursday, April 30, also from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. "Business Casual" is the dress code for these events. Again, these luncheons are free to NCAA coaching staffers, with all others subject to a $50 charge that can be paid at the door. Award winners will have tables set aside and each honoree gets a free table. In addition to these celebrations, there is the popular "Hockey Coaches Care Reception" that brings all convention attendees together and raises money for Hockey Coaches Care, a longtime relief organization that the AHCA partners with. This year's reception is set for Thursday, April 30, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. John Doe PRESIDENT GU E S T S P O N S O R E D BY 2026 CONVENTION INSIDE: WELCOME TO BONITA SPRINGS! 2 CONVENTION SPEAKERS 4 CONVENTION AGENDA 10 BOOTH SPONSORS 12 HOTEL PROPERTY MAPS 14 MAJOR CONVENTION SPONSORS 16 FORREST KARR AHCA Executive Director STEVE WIEDLER AHCA President BRETT PETERSEN AHCA Treasurer A C H A 2 0 2 6 C O N V E N T I O N G U I D E 2 2026 CONVENTION John Doe PRESIDENT GU E S T S P O N S O R E D BY 2026 CONVENTION Welcome to Bonita Springs!
