TIPS Power off to adjust: make all adjustments with the machine off. Stay present: concentrate on the job, avoid distractions, never leave the drill unattended. Handle jams safely: turn off drill and wait for full stop before clearing jams. Let go safely: if the stock slips, turn off the drill and wait for a full stop before adjusting. POST OPERATION 1. Power down: raise spindle, turn off equipment and wait for all motion to stop. Never leave it running unattended. Never use your hands to stop the chuck from spinning. 2. Remove materials: once motion has stopped, take out clamp, vise, workpiece and drill bit. 3. Clean safely: use a vacuum (when appropriate), stick or brush to clean dust and debris. Do not use hands or compressed air. Only use equipment if you are trained and authorised to do so.
