Long hair, loose clothing and / or jewelry can be drawn into the machine. Ensure the self-adjusting guard is working properly prior to use. Also, confirm that any access to cutter movement behind the fence is guarded. Wear proper apparel – remove loose clothing / jewelry and secure long hair before use. Ensure the self-adjusting guard is working properly prior to use. Use push blocks to keep hands away from the cutter while moving the workpiece. Maintain control over the workpiece. The cutterhead must be sharp and properly maintained. Use protective eyewear and or face shield. Follow machine and tool maintenance recommendations from the manufacturer. Check for nails, staples, knots, or other defects in the workpiece before cutting.
