PRE OPERATION
1. Prepare the workspace: clear the table except for workpiece or stock.
2. Install drill bit and chisel:
a. Insert both chisel and drill bit into the bushing, so that drill bit is in the chuck.
b. Place a thin 'spacer' between the chisel and bushing.
c. Use a wooden block to push both upward fully, and tighten the drill bit chuck.
d. Remove spacer, push chisel up as far as it will go and tighten the chisel locking screw. This creates
the appropriate clearance of the drill bit to chisel (1/16
th
to 3/16
th
depending on wood type).
Remove chuck key.
3. Square the chisel: loosen the chisel locking screw, align chisel to fence, and retighten.
4. Set the depth: adjust the depth stop to achieve desired chisel cut depth.
5. Position the worktable: adjust forwards/backwards, left/right based on needs and lock in place.
6. Secure the workpiece: place workpiece on the table against the fence and use a clamp or vise to hold
workpiece (as required).
