Only put workpieces into the planer that exceed minimum dimensions. The cutterhead must be sharp and properly maintained. Establish a minimum dimension for workpieces. Maintain control over the workpiece and avoid removing too much material in one pass. Long hair, loose clothing and / or jewelry can be drawn into the machine. Secure drive and cutter covers with tool-tight fasteners to prevent access.
