Bussi's Shutout Seals The Cup

Draft
Brandon Bussi, making only his third start of the postseason, posted a 22-save
shutout to lead the Carolina Hurricanes to the Stanley Cup championship with a 3-0
victory over the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final. It was the
culmination of a storybook season for the undrafted, 27-year-old goaltender from
Sound Beach, New York, who hadn't played in the NHL until this season.
Bussi is the first American goaltender, and third all time, in NHL history to record a
Stanley Cup-clinching shutout during their first NHL season (no NHL games played
in prior seasons).
