PRE OPERATION
1. Inspect and prepare the workpiece: inspect for loose knots, splits, defects and foreign objects.
Remove any excess material using appropriate saw prior to sanding.
2. Prepare the workspace: clear the table except for the workpiece or stock.
3. Set the miter gauge: use the miter gauge for added control of the workpiece during sanding.
4. Adjust worktable: ensure worktable for both disc and belt sanders are set to minimize the gap
between the abrasive and the worktable to avoid pinch points.
5. Check the abrasive: ensure abrasive grit is in good working condition prior to use.
6. Support large material: use extra supports (tables, sawhorses, blocks etc.) for any workpieces large
enough to tip when not held down to the tabletop.
7. Start the dust collector: turn on the dust collection system and ensure its working appropriately.
