SCORE 2027 RACING SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED The 2027 SCORE World Desert Championship Season will mark SCORE International’s 54th year as the world’s premier Off-Road racing organization. The opening round of the 2027 SCORE schedule will be the King Shocks 40th SCORE Baja 250, held March 17-21 in Mexicali, Baja California, ‘The City That Captured the Sun.’ Home to the SCORE Baja 1000 in 1993 and 1994, Mexicali boasts thousands of passionate Off-Road fans and an expansive desert that provides the perfect proving grounds for the world’s finest desert racers. The event marks SCORE’s return to Mexicali, a city that previously hosted the historic SCORE Mexicali 250 during the 1970s and 1980s. ENSENADA, HOME OF THE SCORE BAJA 500 Round 2 of the 2027 Season will feature the BFGoodrich Tires 59th SCORE Baja 500, where racers, teams, fans, and media from around the world will once again experience the magic of Ensenada, Baja California, proudly known as the ‘Off-Road Racing Capital of the World,’ along with the spectacular race start through the iconic Ensenada Wash. One of the signature attractions of the SCORE Baja 500 is its incredibly diverse racecourse, giving motorcycle and four-wheel competitors the opportunity to tackle virtually every type of Baja terrain. The legendary desert race will be held June 2-6, 2027, and has served as the stage for unforgettable victories by Off-Road legends including Parnelli Jones, Bobby Ferro, Ivan ‘Ironman’ Stewart, Larry ‘Mr. Baja’ Roeseler, Jim O’Neal, Mark McMillin, Johnny Campbell, Danny Hamel, Carlos Apdaly Lopez, and Alan Ampudia. THE YOUNGEST RACE ON THE SCORE SCHEDULE—THE BAJA 400 Round 3 of the 2027 season, the 8th SCORE Baja 400, will be held September 8-12, 2027. As the newest race on the SCORE International calendar, it will once again feature its start and finish in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, while qualifying, contingency, and the awards celebration will also take place in the city, creating the perfect setting to celebrate another anniversary of Mexico’s Independence during the nation’s celebrated Patriotic Month through a sport that continues to expand its global reach year after year. THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SCORE BAJA 1000 The legendary and iconic SCORE Baja 1000, will celebrate its 60th anniversary from November 14-20, 2027, returning with the historic peninsula run format. Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, will serve as the official starting point for the ‘The Grandaddy of All Desert Races,’ while the finish location will be announced at a later date. The milestone celebration promises to be one of the most memorable in SCORE history, showcasing the world-renowned deserts of the Baja California Peninsula, the same legendary terrain once conquered by SCORE icons Parnelli Jones, Rick Mears, Walker Evans, Bobby Ferro, Frank Vessels, Corky McMillin, and Ramon Castro. All four rounds of the 2027 SCORE World Desert Championship will feature qualifying for five of SCORE’s premier racing divisions: SCORE Trophy Truck, SCORE Trophy Truck 2WD, SCORE Trophy Truck Legend, Class 1, and Trophy Truck Spec. Each race will also include SCORE’s signature live broadcast production across its social media platforms, bringing the excitement of desert racing to millions of fans around the globe. 2027 SCORE SCHEDULE King Shocks 40th SCORE Baja 250 March 17-21, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico BFGoodrich Tires 59th SCORE Baja 500 June 2-6, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico 8th SCORE Baja 400 September 8-12, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico BFGoodrich Tires 60th SCORE Baja 1000 November 14-20, Peninsula Run, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico to End TBA POLARIS RZR FACTORY RACING PUTS UP $50K WITH NEW SCORE CHALLENGE Polaris Off-Road Vehicles and the RZR Factory Racing team are introducing the Polaris SCORE Challenge, an initiative offering a $50K purse to any UTV racer – regardless of manufacturer – who defeats the RZR Factory Racing team for the Overall UTV victory at the Baja 400. Aimed at rewarding participation in SCORE International UTV racing, the SCORE Challenge is set to carry-over to the SCORE Baja 1000, if the purse goes unclaimed. “The goal of the SCORE Challenge is to reward top racers for competing in Baja and to create more opportunities for head-to-head competition at the highest level,” said Alex Scheuerell, Polaris’ Director of Off-Road Motorsports. “When the best teams and drivers compete, everyone benefits—the sport grows, the competition gets stronger, and the fans get the racing they want to see.”
