GOLDEN STANDARD 2026 was a golden year for USA Hockey, from the grassroots level all the way to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milan. As the national governing body for ice hockey in the United States, USA Hockey saw its mission come to life on the world's biggest stage, and in rinks across the country. GOLDEN HAT TRICK The U.S. became the first country ever to win "triple gold" in the same year in ice hockey, earning top-of-the-podium finishes in both women's and men's competitions at the Olympics and also in sled hockey at the Paralympics. All three gold-medal games drew record viewership on NBC and captivated millions of fans, new and old, across the country. RECORD PARTICIPATION USA Hockey reached all-time highs in nationwide participation in 2025-26, including surpassing 100,000 female players for the first time in history, finishing the season with 103,324 total female participants. 2025-26 USA Hockey Participation 586,002 PLAYERS* 68,792 COACHES* 32,710 OFFICIALS* A GOLDEN STANDARD 2 4 | 2 0 2 6 - 2 7 U S A H O C K E Y N E W PA R E N T H A N D B O O K *All-time record
