3 I am pleased as Chairperson of Dublin LGFA to welcome you all here to Parnell Park this evening for our 2026 PTSB senior club championship final. I have no doubt that we will witness a highly competitive game of football from two very well- prepared teams. To Clontarf and Kilmacud Crokes, I wish both clubs the very best of luck tonight as you go in search of championship glory. I recognise and applaud the hard work that is taking place within your respective clubs in terms of the continuous development and promotion of our sport. I am especially delighted to welcome the next generation of football stars to Parnell Park this evening. The U12 girls from Clontarf and Kilmacud Crokes will showcase their football skills and talent to us all at the half time interval. I wish our match referee Finbarr Shanahan and his team of officials well for tonight's final. Our referees play a huge role within our association at all grades, and it is important that our members and supporters continue to respect and appreciate those who take on the role of referee. I would like to thank PTSB for all they have done for our sport in this their first year as club league and championship sponsors. Thank you, Eamon and Ger, for your support of the sponsorship and vision for what can be achieved together, and in particular thank you to Stephen, Suzanne, Phil, Mark and Gayle in getting this sponsorship off the ground and all your work in the background. I would also like to acknowledge our County sponsors Staycity along with our commercial partners O'Neill's, Ballygowan, Energise, Peugeot, FM 104, Gourmet Food Parlour, and UPMC. In March of this year we sadly lost a great servant, supporter and friend of Dublin LGFA - Mary O'Connor. Mary was a tremendous woman who worked diligently and proficiently behind the scenes in her role as County Secretary, a position she held for thirteen remarkable years. Mary's PTSB Dublin LGFA Senior Championship Final Dublin LGFA Chairperson's Address presence is still felt by us all and her impact on our association here in Dublin will live on for years to come. We also fondly remember the late Walter Thompson of Erins Isle GAA club, a former County and provincial Chairperson who also served as Uachtaráin Cumann Peil Gael na mBan from 2000-2003. On special occasions like this evening I ask that you might pause for a moment and reflect on those who have gone to their eternal rest in 2026. I would like to thank Stephen Harbron (Fixtures officer and adult referee's assigner) for his efficiency ensuring our adult competitions were well organised and ran off on schedule. To the members of the Dublin LGFA Executive Committee, I thank you all most sincerely for your continued work, enthusiasm and commitment to our association. GRMA to Dublin GAA and their CEO, Finbar O'Mahony for hosting our senior County final here in Parnell Park this evening. Thank you also to the stewards and stadium officials for giving us their time to assist with the smooth running of tonight's event. Finally, I would like to thank and acknowledge everyone who has played and continue to play a role in making Dublin LGFA over the last four decades one of the largest female sporting organisations in Ireland. We know that there are challenges ahead however by continuing to work together we can ensure our sport continues to flourish at all levels. Wishing you all an entertaining evening, enjoy tonight's contest. Joe Keane
