DENVER CATHOLIC | OCTOBER-NOVEMBER 2026
Politics taught me that nothing is
accomplished alone. It takes people playing
different roles and working together for
the common good — something we also see
ref lected in our faith and our parishes.
I have been extremely blessed by the Lord
through the people I have met along the way,
many of whom have shaped my life forever.
Is that not part of what we are called to do
as we search for our vocation: meet people,
remain rooted in prayer and spread the Gospel?
Politics might seem like an unlikely place to
find those things. But if the Lord is calling you
to serve there, he will provide.
So take the first step. Do not be afraid. Ask
the Lord where your gifts are needed, and
discern how he may be calling you to use them
for the common good.
