20 FESTIVAL 16 www.guestlist.net Issue 54 / 2013 Dimensions festival @Croatia 4th - 9th September After the great successes of Dimension's debut last year, the Croatian festival is back once more to grace the Mediterranean waves with a week of the globe's finest electronic sounds. It's not often that you come across a festival that is too good to be true, in every aspect. Dimensions comes the closest to offering just this. The venue itself, an abandoned 200 year old fort, provides the most spectacularly surreal environment to hold a party of such measures. Then there's the camping which stretches along the gorgeous Croatian coastline; the ideal setting to start and end your party-filled days. If that isn't enough, daily boat parties featuring the line-ups hottest artists are sure to keep you from boredom. This year's line-up hasn't disappointed either, with Mount Kimbie, Model 500, Theo Parish, Moodyman, Space Dimension Controller and Boddika all included in the 244 strong bill. A special opening concert on 4th September will be headlined by the world class Bonobo, who will play a live set. Dimensions is sure to build upon the successes of last year, and is fast becoming the world's most stunning music phenomenon. Dimensionsfestival.com South West Four Festival @Clapham Common 24th - 25th August We are literally bursting with excitement in anticipation for this year's South West Four festival on Clapham Common this month. After the success of last year's party this one is looking to be even bigger and better and features a stellar line-up pretty much consisting of a who'swho of the EDM scene. The Saturday is headlined by Trance superstar Armin Van Buuren who has been voted the world's greatest DJ a record 5 times by DJ Magazine and is looking to top it again this year. The Sunday is headlined by Chart topping rapper/ singer Example. Other acts playing to the 20,000 strong crowd of ravers over the weekend include Pendulum's electro side project Knife Party, Drum n Bass legend Andy C and many, many more. There will be a number of different stages hosting the best the world of dance music has to offer including the 'All gone Pete Tong' stage presented by Pete Tong and featuring performances from the likes of Groove Armada and Eric Morello and the 'Bedrock' stage presented by John Digweed and featuring sets from Eric Prydz and Boy Noize among others. If previous years are anything to go by SW4 is going to be one of the biggest and best parties of the year. We, for sure, will be partying hard all weekend and enjoying some great sets by some brilliant acts and hopefully basking in some glorious sunshine at the same time! Southwestfour.com
