You can get juice, snacks and alcohol here. rokerij There are three different coffee shops run under the name 'Rokerij' and they are a very popular attraction, the walls are decked out with psychedelic artwork. SLEEPING HOSTEL SLOTANIA A great place for travelling on a budget, very affordable prices for clean, well furnished rooms and good bathroom facilities. It is situated in Amsterdam West. ST. CHRISTOPHER'S INN A chain hostel business that operates in several countries, they offer a variety of comfy rooms at a range of prices with a 24 hour reception and a lively bar. FLYING PIG BEACH HOSTEL If you want to go to Amsterdam, but also want to be by the beach then this is the place to go. It may be twenty miles from the town centre, but a shuttle service runs from the hostel and it promises cheap rooms and a lively experience. DRINKING BROUWERIJ T' IJ Also known as 'The Windmill Brewery' Beer enthusiasts will want to check out this fantastic microbrewery offering a wide range of different beers at great prices. HEINEKEN BREWERY To see how beer is made at industrial volume in a commercial brewery, take the tour around the Heineken Brewery and sample some beers at the end. WHISKYCAFE L&B A great stop off for Whiskey lovers featuring over 1,400 different types of Whiskey from around the world, open late into the night making it ideal for night owls. EATING GARTINE A restaurant that specialises in Dutch and French food, and offers breakfast and lunch. It caters well for vegetarians or meat eaters, is run by the owners who provide a welcoming service and has a great homely atmosphere. NORLING RESTAURANT Offering Tibetan cuisine, this unique restaurant has a wealth of flavoursome freshly made food at affordable prices. VAN KERKWIJK Tucked away on a quiet side road, this restaurant offers Dutch and European food with an atmosphere that will suit those trying to escape the from the tourist hot spots.
