HOUSE / TECHNO 24 www.guestlist.net event preview: Creamfields 2013 Issue 54 / 2013 Artist of the month: breach If you haven't heard the massive summer hit "Jack", then you need to check it out right now! On the August Bank Weekend (23th-25th August), one of the biggest EDM festivals will hit Halton, UK. Creamfields has been a dance music staple for the past decade and a half, seeming only to get bigger and better every year. This time, Creamfields is preparing the biggest stage production ever seen in the UK, filled with an amazing lineup. With a huge stage, amazing special effects, and over 200 artists performing, Creamfields looks set to give you an unforgettable weekend. Gracing the stage this year will be: The Prodigy, Tiesto, Avicii, David Guetta, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Above & Beyond, Eric Prydz, Groove Armada, Afrojack, Steve Aoki, and more. This huge track has recently propelled Hertfordshire-born, Ben Westbeech, out of the underground to become another increasingly mainstream house success story. The classically trained producer had his first taste of success, not with house music, but as a jazz singer. He released an album as a jazz artist and then, in the period between 2009 and 2011, he began to diversify by singing, songwriting and producing on a range of genres; working with August RELEASES Professor Green, DJ Marky and Redlight. In September 2011, he released his second album on Strictly Rhythm, which married Ben's songwriting/jazz instincts with a house edge. This new product was well received, leading him to embrace his deeper and darker alter ego Breach in 2012 - launching the Naked Naked label. "Let's Get Hot" and "Jack" were released on an EP together for Dirtybird about 3 months ago, but it was "Jack" that really took off receiving considerable airtime both on Radio 1 and in clubs and festivals all over the world. This clear potential for success led Breach to set a new release date for a "Jack" standalone EP, and the official music video has just been released. It looks as if Breach is finally poised for superstardom, and we can't wait to see what he will release next. benwestbeech.com Finnebassen Baby Detroit Swindle The Passion Session Victim/Medlar/ Squarehead/Ishmael WOLFEP018 Dusky Vanishing Point Disclosure Settle The xx Innervisions Remixes Maya Jane Coles Comfort Floorplan Paradise Kon On My Way Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs Get Lost VI The Shapeshifters/Various Analogue to Digital and Back Again Nick Monaco Veni Vidi Vogue
