Fans Were Ready For Opener
Circle City Tailgate draws thousands to Monument Circle
The Purdue band was out
in force as the two-hour
Circle event entertained an
estimated 7,500 Boilermaker
faithful.
Purdue fans followed in big
numbers to Nippert Stadium to
attend the season opener. Here,
Sanders Stultz, 4, and father Russ
of Cicero, Ind., ready for the start
of the 2013 season.
Coach Darrell
Hazell was
delighted
to have the
attention of
the fans, even
if it was for
a relatively
brief visit.
The Boilermaker fans
braved warm temperatures to reach out to
their favorite team.
They also had to wait
about 20 minutes as
the buses carrying the
squad were caught in
traffic.
