Athletic director
Morgan Burke and
Darrell Hazell have a
chat before the game
on the field. Hazell
wore a microphone
for a Big Ten Network
show that will air the
week of Oct. 8.
Melvin Gordon proved
difficult for any of the
Boilermaker defenders to
bring down. The sophomore
back averaged 9.2 yards
per carry. Will Lucas, shown
here trying to slow Gordon
down, was one of Purdue's
leading tacklers in the game
with six.
Hazell was more animated on the sidelines as it was pretty clear the first-year coach wasn't
pleased with many facets of the Boilermakers' play.
The Wisconsin students
remained in the stands long
enough to do their traditional "Jump Around" after
the third quarter. Moments
after that, however, the
stands began to clear out.
