HOUSE 22 guestlist.net / TECHNO GUESTLIST RECOMMENDS: MARIBOU STATE London-bred producers Maribou State have been catching the ears of many followers recently, and they're only going to get better. These boys have gone from strength to strength in the last two years. Informally known as Chris and Liam, the balance of eclectic soulful, rhythmic house and subtle bass tech make Maribou State the epitome of floaty dance music. Following the success of their Scarlett Groove EP, released in November 2012, the London duo have shown off their production skills with beautiful remixes of Lana del Rey, George Maple and Submotion Orchestra tracks (to name a few) as well as an incredible re-work of Fatboy Slim's 'Praise You'. From where they've come in the past two years, who knows how big they'll be in the next two? ALBUM OF THE MONTH: ENDLESS SUNDAY EP Issue 55 / 2013 EVENT REVIEW: THURSDAY NIGHT DIP Smoke machines, a swimming pool and good company. What more could you ask for? Every Thursday @ Club Aquarium, Old Street. T.N.D at Aquarium from 11pm – 6am is definitely an event to look out for if you're into the deep house and tech scene. The event has been running since May this year, however each time I've been, the ambience has been different and I've never had the same experience. The crowd are all very funny and lively and you're guaranteed to leave having had a few compliments, making some new friends and picking up a few new shapes to cut. With such a diverse crowd, you never know what or who to expect. With easy routes to and from the club from pretty much anywhere in London, it is easy to understand why you have such a large spectrum of people there from all ages and walks of life. Additionally, the event is free before 2am, making it even easier those busy workers among us, who can come home from work and sleep before partying through into the early hours of the morning. Bass lines will be your best friend at this event, with the sound shooting straight through your body. You leave and dream about the bass...it's just so great. You should visit Club Aquarium for T.N.D - it's worth it and if you're an early bird, your worm will be free. ON OUR PLAYLIST Here's what's on our house playlist this month: Disclosure ft Keable Voices Taches Yo, Excuse Me Miss (Taches bootleg) A brand new EP from a brand new label: Pole Jam Vinyl debuts its maiden voyage with the silky, sassy Endless Sunday release. This smashing collaboration from Russian producers Deep Sound Express and KLar & PF is a feelgood ray of disco sunshine, drizzled with honey on top, and it's an EP that will relax you in style. KLar & PF set the tone with blissful grooves and electric choruses on 'Escape' and 'Endless', while Deep Sound Express crank up the beat factor, glossed over with lush layered disco-drenched chords, creating an altogether deeper sound. A fine balance of pulsating riffs and incredible vocals from Raha in 'After Rain' add to the various flavours this EP has to offer. With stunning performances from both artists, Endless Sunday offers the most stylish way to relax on a warm summers evening. ViLLAGE Wanna Tell You (Henry Krinkle Remix) Chris Malinchak So Good To Me (MK Remix)
