How Do We Serve Our Clients? Managing Financial Risk, Managing Sustainable Family Wealth Focus on Family Business Owners One thing the North Shore has is an abundance of is entrepreneurial spirit. At US Advisory Group, we enjoy a national reputation as family advisors when it comes to working with the individuals and families who own private businesses and are looking for answers. We help privately-owned business owners evaluate what the business means to them as a family, and help position the business to reach the familiy's long-term financial goals. There are two main elements to manage – Human Capital and Financial Capital Managing Human Capital involves working with the family to create a set of goals, responsibilities, and measure of accountability that serve to guide the family towards a common purpose. Managing Financial Capital involves identifying the purpose of the family business, creating a means to transfer wealth from the business to the family, and ultimately positioning the business in such a way that there is some sort of succession plan or path to a sale put into place.
