We've got a forward-looking theme for this last issue of
2013, and it's the perfect way to close our editorial year.
Our "hot topics" for 2013 lead the charge in the new year, and there is no
shortage of ideas to spark your project list in the months ahead.
Our fashion-forward technophiles will appreciate the articles that touch on
wearable technology; and responsive design is all the rage as we dress our
content to look good on any device. Managing BYOD will be a hot topic as long
as the "D" keeps getting the "new, improved" feature set each year; and there
are always opportunities to improve your own leadership skills — our
"Ask the Expert" feature is a composite of the best of the best from our 2013
Leadership Award finalists. The ever-changing security landscape keeps us on
our toes perpetually, and shoring up disaster preparedness/recovery plans in
light of "big weather" is on the front burner.
As we close out this year, I offer my sincere thanks to the hundreds of
contributors to our publications. Your ideas are always the latest buzz, and I look
forward to seeing what's new and improved in your world in 2014. To all my
friends and colleagues, I give you the gift of ILTA: knowledgeable professionals
sharing their successes. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
