"We're all just women, trying to get through life," said Martha Reichert, a Catholic women's study group leader at Catholic Charities' Samaritan House in downtown Denver, in a video de- scribing her apostolate. "There, among abuse victims, prostitutes and addicts living in disarray, I saw dignity revealed," Reichert said, "and I saw hearts transformed by the love of God— including my own." Reichert is the 2014 recipi- ent of the Julia Greeley Award from Endow (Educating on the Nature and Dignity of Women) a Catholic women's group that transmits the Church's teaching on the new feminism. A high point of Endow's Feb. 8 gala held at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center in down- town Denver was the video fea- turing Reichert talking about her apostolate just before she was presented her award by Terry Polakovic, president and co-founder of Endow. Los Ange- les Archbishop José H. Gomez celebrated Mass prior to the ga- la. Media commentator Kathryn Jean Lopez provided the eve- ning's keynote.
