Lippert Components said it believes the additional product lines and diversi- fied customer base will accelerate Lippert Components' expansion into specialty mar- kets. Star Design has annual sales of about $10 million. Separately, Lippert has acquired Innova- tive Design Solutions, a Troy, Mich.-based designer, developer and manufacturer of electronic systems with RV applications, for about $36 million. IDS had annual sales of approximately $19 million in 2013, of which $13 million were to Lippert Components. Lippert Components said the additional product lines and diversified customer base will accelerate Lippert's expansion into adjacent industries. Spartan Chassis Names Timothy Hamm as VP Sales Managing RV Business Spartan Chassis, a business unit of Spartan Motors Inc., has hired Timothy Hamm as vice president, sales and business development for specialty vehicles. Hamm joins Spartan Chassis after serving as regional manager for St. Paul, Minn.-based H.B. Fuller. During his tenure with the company, Hamm was responsible for the acquisition of several accounts and incremental sales. Thor Buys Shuttered Monaco Plant to Expand Motorized Production Capacity or Industries is acquiring the recently shuttered 220,000-square-foot facility in Elkhart, Ind., that had been used to produce Monaco towables. Along with the factory, or also acquired the brand names of the vehicles that had been produced at the facility, though President and CEO Bob Martin told RV PRO the company doesn't have any immediate plans for those brands. or will use the facility to expand production capacity for its motorhomes. e additional production capacity will be used to meet continued strong demand for products produced by the company's or Motor Coach subsidiary, according to the company. Allied Specialty Vehicles on Feb. 10 closed former Monaco plants making towables in Indiana and Oregon and announced it was going to focus on its profitable motor- ized division. Daniels, Gonyon Appointed EverGreen Product Managers Chris Daniels has been appointed product manager of the i-Go line for EverGreen RV of Middlebury, Ind. Daniels will be responsible for the product direction and sales of the i-Go line. Daniels has worked for some of the best-known brands in the RV industry, bringing with him 10 years of experience. Most recently he was regional sales manager of EverGreen's south cen- tral region selling the i-Go, Sun Valley and Amped toy hauler. Separately, EverGreen has appointed Will Gonyon as sales and product manager of the company's Sun Valley travel trailers line. Gonyon brings several years of industry experience to the job, having most recently worked for CrossRoads RV. Daniels Gonyon Jayco Acquiring Open Range RV Jayco Corp. of Middlebury, Ind., is acquiring Open Range RV based in Shipshewana, Ind. Financial terms of the deal were not revealed. Open Range RV will operate as a wholly owned and sepa- rate subsidiary, with Randy Graber as president. With growth in excess of 20 percent annually, the manage- ment of Open Range said it recognized in order to maintain and further increase that type of growth, it was necessary to partner with a larger organization.
