82 ■ THE WOLFPACKER ■ FOOTBALL RECRUITING The 6-2, 285-pounder wants to narrow his choices to a top three in late May. Bos- ton College, California, Duke, Louisville, Mississippi State, North Carolina, North- western, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest have also offered Chaffin. Rivals.com rates him as a three-star recruit, and Chaffin has been selected to play in the Under Armour All-American Game in January at St. Pe- tersburg, Fla. ■ Defensive Line Landing at least two if not three defen- sive tackles is a priority after State gradu- ates seniors Thomas Teal and T.Y. McGill off this year's squad and Carlos Gray un- expectedly went pro after last season. The headliner on the board is Shy Tuttle, a 6-2, 310-pounder from North Davidson High in Lexington, N.C. Tuttle is the consensus top prospect in the state. Rivals.com also rates him as the No. 25 overall player and No. 6 defensive tackle in the 2015 class. Tuttle has made at least four unofficial visits to NC State in the winter and spring. The Pack is believed to be among the quiet Tuttle's top schools, but he has not revealed much about his recruitment in re- cent months. Alabama, Clemson and UNC are also thought to be strong candidates. Another in-state defensive tackle of note is Anthony Rush, a 6-5, 300-pounder from Cary High. NC State has long been believed to be Rush's top choice, but he also has offers from Boston College, North Carolina and Virginia. Rivals.com ranks Rush as a three-star player. NC State is in the mix for a pair of high- profile defensive ends. Four-star Darian Roseboro of Lincolnton (N.C.)
