Growing up under the wing of Switch, already producer for Beyoncé, M.I.A. and Santigold just to mention a few, it didn't take long before Duke Dumont started to gain recognition in his own right thanks to his first remixes of Lily Allen - and a lot has changed since his debut EP "Regality" for Turbo Recordings in 2007. In 2010 he mixed the "FabricLive.51" compilation for Fabric and in 2011 he moved out into the countryside to get inspiration for his future work. After getting his songs major radio airplay in 2012, he topped the UK Singles Chart last year with "Need You (100%)" - and his new single "I Got U", produced by his own fresh-new record label Blasé Boys Club, is just the massive track he needed to continue his rapid ride to domination on the house scene. It didn't take too long before the Belgian band turned Metronomy's latest single into a supreme freaky remix, with electro, groovy, nu-disco beats - and even a trumpet solo to cap it all of. Intricately deconstructing and moulding every element of the original, they leave just the vocals and lyrics untouched; and what results is 6 minutes of pure awesomeness. Crazy! The 'Over It EP' is a 6-track collection of remixes of 'Over It' featur- ing Dia Frampton, and cel- ebrates the band's 20 years together making cutting- edge electronic music. They definitely followed their long-lasting, long-winning formula when producing this explosive masterpiece, which bears all the hall- marks of the group's classic sound - as well as experi- menting in new, uncharted musical territory, and com- bining it with a futuristic twist and pop sensibilities. Utterly addictive! The Crystal Method are releasing the 'Over It EP' on May 4th 2014, following the success of their self-titled 5th stu- dio album.
