NEW RELEASES EVENT REVIEW FOALS They came down the stairs, and in just a few mere minutes they'd set up their guitar, bass, cajon and harmonica. Af- ter a few laughs and a few beers they started playing, and that's when the magic really kicked in. They began with their latest tune "We Should Feel Like We Are In Love", which we would describe as an indie-folk melody for pas- sionate drunk lovers - and seriously catchy. They then went on with a cover of Swedish House Mafia's "Don't You Worry Child", which features some great har- monica solos, with an incredible result. Their music is su- premely enjoyable, and the singer's voice is so marvellous and deep you just can't help but fall in love with him. The band is currently on tour through England and Ireland, but expect some new productions very soon. In the meantime, check out their live session on our web- site. 2013 undisputedly be- longed to Foals, with a number two album 'Holy Fire', its subsequent Mer- cury Prize nomination and a major radio hit in 'My Num- ber'. At London's Alexandra Palace, they pulled out a riotous performance that justified the hype and ce- mented their ever-growing reputation after a hugely successful year. 'Inhaler', 'Two Steps Twice', and 'Providence' proved chaot- ic highlights, and older fan favourites like 'Spanish Sa- hara' and 'Olympic Airways' were met with feverish adoration by the capacity crowd. It was an impressive gig to cap a defining year for Foals, and above all un- derlined that the 'Best Live Band In The World' crown could be within their reach in the not-too-distant fu- ture. GUESTLIST RECOMMENDS ECHOTAPE More @ guestlist.net/indie A riotous performance caps off a defining year for Foals We met this young, passionate four-piece in our London studios - and their music and positivity left us enchanted.
