COMING SOON TRANSCENDENCE Transcendence is the directorial debut of renowned cinematographer Wally Pfis- ter, and features Godfather of the Dark Knight trilogy Christopher Nolan as an executive producer - but the big names don't stop with it's cast. Johnny Depp stars as Dr. Will Caster, an artificial intel- ligence researcher, but also boasts the likes of Morgan Freeman, Rebecca Hall, Cillian Murphy and Kate Mara. Depp's protagonist Caster is striving to create a machine that has different types of intel- ligence, but faces formidable opposition from extremists who oppose such drastic technological change. Shot on Pfister's preferred 35mm (The director a noted advocate of shooting in film over digital), Transcendence taps into the cyberpunk movement of the 90s, reminiscent of The Matrix rapid rise to popularity. It's re- leased on April 25th through Warner Bros nationwide. A British-Chinese-American sci-fi film staring Johnny Depp The Amazing Spider- Man 2 April16th: Andrew Garfield returns for the his second cin- ematic outing as Peter Parker. As ever, it's up to Spider-Man to stop him and restore peace in New York. The film also features Harry Osborne (Dane DeHaan), an old friend of Peter Parker. Walk of Shame May 12th: Featuring Elizabeth Banks as Meghan Miles, a reporter whose dream of becoming news anchor is placed in jeopardy after a one-night stand with a stranger leaves her stranded the following morning. Adrift in down- town Los Angeles without a phone, car or ID, she faces the uneviable task of es- caping LA and making the dream job interview within 8 hours. Neighbours May 9th: The proud parents of a newborn move into a quaint new neighbour- hood - but quickly discov- er they are living next to a wild fraternity house, led by Teddy Sanders (Zac Efron). "difficulties" in raising a child next door to an all- drinking, all-partying, all day and night frat house. Hilarity, chaos and beer- pong ensues.
