THE RETURN OF BCM THIS SUMMER Hitting the club on the Sunday night Example and DJ Wire were celebrating the opening of their new night- Sound of the Future. Securing three shows throughout the summer their main focus is promoting and developing new talent, with a varied music policy expect special guest appear- ances from some of the hottest DJs right now from Nervo to DJ Fresh. Example never fails to deliver; always on top form he brought us a powerful performance, connecting with the crowd encouraging them to sing along he's his usual bouncy self jumping around having fun. With support from residents Micky Slim – boss of Bomb Squad Records – and Majestic they provided us a great show. Cream Mal- lorca once again returns to the club to take up their ex- clusive residency on the party island every Monday and Wednesday with a roster of some of the biggest and best electronic acts in the world. Monday night welcomed one of the biggest UK artists right now Tinie Tempah, along- side his DJ, Charsley they warmed up the crowd with a mix of Tempah's chart dominating tracks such as "Mi- ami 2 Ibiza". Prompting mass fist pumping and jumping around the temperature began to rise as his hit track with Labrinth kicked in "Earthquake", with the heaps of people chanting every lyric the atmosphere was electric. Causing a frenzy the crowd roared as he dropped another classic tune 'Drinking from the Bottle', holding a bottle of liquor he takes a few gulps as he continues to bounce around. Finishing with a bang a sky of confetti fell through the air, bringing the show to an electrifying climax. The following evening the legendary Judgment night once again took to the decks, with another instalment of Judgment Tues- days headliner Danny Howard dished up a soundtrack of trance giants from Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk. Complete with state of the art lighting and lasers and megatron ice cannons his set created a complete euphoric experience. Ever since the BBC unearthed Danny Howard a few years back, his success has been nothing short of astounding and he has gone on to host his show on Radio 1, release an album and play at clubs around the world. Our personal highlight of the trip was an energetic perfor- mance from chart topping, homegrown talent Rudimen- tal. Topping the bill of Cream Mallorca on the Wednesday night Leon, one fourth of the band brought along a spe- cial guest in the name of Mark Crown. The trumpeter who has featured on the bands tracks, infused some funk and soul to the DJ set making this something to remember. Bringing the live band element to the stage they delivered more than your just average show, the trumpet riffs along with the vibration of the bass rippled through the air. In- teracting with the crowd whilst leaping around, a sea of smiling faces filled the room. Dropping number 1 tracks "Not Giving In"' and "Feel The Love" pyrotechnics explod- ed lighting up the stage. With support from DJ Monki, this little lady stepped up to bring us some quality music from some old school tunes to new club classics. Throughout the season Cream Mallorca offers such a cross genre line- up from some of the biggest DJs providing the key ingre- dients of a successful partnership with BCM. This was our third year visiting the island and it continues to impress us with the high calibre of DJs and artists passing through the doors and epic lineups in association with some of the biggest brands in club land. Complete with state of the art lighting, visuals, lasers, crazy dancers and their huge re- cently upgraded 136,000 Watt Function One Sound Sys- tem this is clubbers paradise. Currently topped at Num- ber 5 in DJ Mag's Top 100 clubs poll this year it is set to carry on being one of the best clubs in the world to visit. Once again we would like to say a huge thanks to director Gordy Phillips, Nicola Lang and Alex Jukes at Juxebox PR for looking after us and showing us a great party!
