During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it was also a favored summer vacation des- tination for wealthy families from Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago. Once the location of one of the Cool- idge family's seaside mansions, Summer Hill's 14-acre site is one of Cape Ann's beautiful hidden corners, tucked between Magnolia Beach at Kettle Cove and Route 127. For the second half of the 20th cen- tury, the rambling half-timbered house served as a nursing home. When it closed, the house and its lot attracted the atten- tion of Lee Dellicker, president and CEO of Windover Construction, located on a side street in the heart of town.
