OUR PLAYLIST Never Let Me Go Florence + The Machine Afterlife Arcade Fire Oblivion Bastille 9 Crimes Damien Rice feat Lisa Hannigan Here's the Indie on our playlist this month: ALBUM OF THE MONTH CAUSTIC LOVE- PAOLO NUTINI TRACK OF THE MONTH MAROON 5 - MAPS After the success of Sunny Side Up, the Scottish singer-songwriter returns with his new album, Caustic Love. Sunny Side up was a worldwide success, with the hit song Candy that topped the charts of a variety of countries. Now Paolo is ready to charm again is fandom. Caustic Love is an ambition new playlist: it's original, fresh but has the same good Nutini's vibes. Nutini shows maturity and ability to create songs of a variety of styles including hip-hop instrumentals, soul acoustic vibes with Better Man and rock soul like in Iron Sky, which references Charlie Chaplin. The result is an intimate and strong new album, which will push Nutini's career even farther. Paolo Nutini third album is called Caustic Love and debuted at number one on the UK Album Charts. Maps is the lead single of the new Maroon 5 album called V. The song was written by Adam Levine, Ryan Tedder, Benjamin Levin, Ammar Malik and Noel Zancanella and composed in the key of C# minor. With a plucked guitars and subtle drums, Maroon 5 create a Sting's vibe, before building the song into something more powerful. The song is a crescendos even if Levine's vocals remain constant. The song's lyrics are focused on the search of a lost love: "All the roads you took came back to me / So I'm following the map that leads to you". Maps need to be followed in order to find the person who you are meant to look for. Just another Maroon 5's Hit song! Maroon 5 new single, Maps has just de- buted second in the U.K. Chart of Sep- tember. The group's name derives from the russian revolutioners group and their love for the month of December. They started to performer in 2000 and they have released six album since then. Their latest one, The King is Dead was their most successful one with newly blues and country vibes. One of its songs, "Down by the Water" was nomi- nated for Best Rock Song at the 54th Grammy Awards. In 2012 they have written a song for Hunger Games' Soundtrack. 2014 has been a big year for the band: they had a cameo appearance on the 7th episode of the Simp- son's 24th season as the cool new music teachers and they also performed on the Season 6 finale of the hit NBC's comedy series "Parks and Recreation".
