22 Issue 68 / 2014 DRUM & BASS / DUBSTEP guestlist.net Frequencies delivered by this trio are just amazing. Once again Dispatch Records proved that they would be an important part of future drum and bass scene development with their 85th release. The Microsleep EP is a 5-track release that was compiled by many well-known Drum & Bass producers such as: DLR , Ant TC1, Cease, RoyGreen, Protone and main trio of this EP. TRACK OF THE MONTH QUADRANT, KID HOPS & IRIS - MICROSLEEP ALBUM OF THE MONTH CONSEQUENCE - 'LIVE FOR NEVER' Quadrant collaborating with Hops & Iris - Sent deep drum & bass to next level Young Austrailian Cam McLaren has really outdone himself here. He's slowly becoming a force to be reckoned with on dBridge's Exit Records, putting out great releases such as this. Those looking for a major club banger to fill a main room might be slightly dis- sapointed by this album, but those who consider themselves hardcore DnB heads will struggle to find another album of this qual- ity this year. Consequence's influences are wide rang- ing, encompassing every- thing from Ed Rush to Aute- chre, all channelling into his dark, moody beats. The only criticism of the album we have is that at times it seems almost too dark, like theres no light at the end of the tunnel. But, gloomy or not, there's no doubt that this is an absolute must for any true DnB fan. Dark, Brooding, Aussie DnB Dutch producer Jeroen Snik has proved numerous times he has many strings to his bow, ranging from techno and dubstep to the all important drum and bass. After a host of divergent tracks released under Hospital Records, Soul:R, Renegade Hardware and Critical, Icicle signed exclusively for Shogun Audio in 2008, and ever since he's showed no sign of slowing down. He released his debut album, the aptly named "Under the Ice", in 2011, saw him, at times, combine his subtle techno elements with that 170 bpm tempo, producing a well rounded and futuristically-orien- tated collection. His his newest single "Problem" featuring Mancunian Mc Skittles gives us a gritty and atmospheric insight into his next album, due for release this November. ARTIST OF THE MONTH ICICLE Held in high esteem as one of the freshest and most technically gifted new producers, Icicle's prowess is only going to get greater.
