7 11 Issue 70 / 2014 GUESTLIST guestlist.net On the 20th of December, Critical Sound heavyweights will congregate at Studio Spaces for a huge night of the finest underground drum and bass. Critical can finally announce the line up which will feature SPY, Mefjys, Kasra b2b Foreign Concept, Sam Binga, Hyroglifics and Klax, with special guests Marcus Intalex b2b Spectrasoul. For those clued up on their dnb, this is quite simply an event not to be missed. It is rare to see such a concentrated, high-calibre line-up; expect to hear the finest fusions of grime, liquid, minimal, and truly hard-hitting dnb, set-off with bars from some of the best MC's in the game: DRS, Mantmast GQ and Con*natural. It's been a great year for Critical and we predict this event will be a fitting culmination of the label's successes. Basslaced join forces on this outing with Critical Sound for a night of no nonsense D&B. Next month, Dub Force Radio and Art of Noize present Dub4Life at Electric Brixton, bringing you an unbelievable line-up featuring some of the biggest names on the scene. Launching those familiar, hefty roots basslines will be the monumental Congo Natty, Channel One Soundsytem and their protagonist Aba-Shanti.I, Remarc and Young Warrior, whilst positive vibes spill into room two, proudly hosted by Dubtastic. What better way to warm up to the finale of 2014 than with a night promising the full power of "peace, love and dub". Expect a vibesin' night of sweet dub, jungle and reggae on the 30th of January at Electric Brixton Where do we start?! This much anticipated event has sold out online but don't fear, there are plenty of tickets available on the door. Room 1 (Tropical) boasts grime giants Skepta and JME as well as a Dancehall set taking you through to the early hours of the morning. Room 2 has one of the best garage DJ's to ever do it, DJ EZ. Room 3 (Rompa's Reggae Shack) is jam-packed with reggae, ragga and dub from the likes of Mungo's Hifi and Uncle Dugs. Be sure to get to Fabric on the 19th to get in the pre-Christmas groove!
