Adjustable from 13.5 volts up to 19 volts, it works with 12-, 14- or 16-volt systems. A potentiometer is used to simply dial voltage to a desired point and keep sensitive and expen- sive electrical items safe, while still properly maintaining the battery. Available in natural, chrome, polished, and an all-new satin finish, the alternators come with amperage choices of 100 amp with 75 amps at idle, and 150 amp with 95 amps at idle. Ford Valve Covers PRW Industries, Perris, California, introduces three new Valve Covers for 1958-'76 Ford FE 332, 352, 390-428 engine applica- tions. Crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, the valve covers have undergone rigorous testing and are built to last. Available for street rod and racing applications, they are individually pres- sure-tested and fasteners are included. The manifolds and complementing runners are designed specifically for most LS3, L99, L76 and L92 engines that are built for high-performance applications. The High HP Intake & Runner Set is based on Daytona Prototype intakes and utilizes newly designed runners. The louvered oil pan baffle features one- way trapdoors to improve oil control and help direct oil flow toward the oil pick-up. The included scraper closely contours the crankshaft and rods to remove excess oil from the crank- shaft and decrease rotating mass. The kit is currently available for the factory 3.622-inch-stroke crankshaft, rods and hard- ware. A version for 4.000-inch-stroke crankshafts will be avail- able soon. B-Series Head Studs Titan Motorsports, Orlando, Fla., presents upgraded Head Studs for Honda B-series engines. The new studs are manufactured from ARP's premium L19 material, offering a clamping load of up to 260,000 psi. The studs are designed as a drop- in replacement for the OEM head studs and require no modification to the cylinder head or block. A new hex broach at the top of the studs provides ease of application, and the L19 material is primarily used in short track and drag racing applications where inertia loads exceed the clamping capability of ARP2000. Chevy Big-Block Book CarTech Auto Books & Manuals, North Branch, Minnesota, presents the book David Vizard's Chevy Big- Blocks: How to Build Max Performance on a Budget. Offering details on each component group of the popular engine, Vizard shows how to build street big-blocks offering up to 850 hp on 91-octane pump gas.
