Collaborations in hip hop are always exciting, and this is one you should definitely know about. The Four Owls, the critically acclaimed UK hip hop super-crew, is made up of Verb T, Fliptrix, BVA, and Leaf Dog, and brought the hip hop world to it's knees with with their debut album, "Natures Greatest Mystery", all the way back in 2011. Now, they are set to finally release one of the most anticipated hip hop albums of the year in the form of second album 'Natural Order'. In case you need proof of their credentials, between them they've produced beats for Wu Tang members, recorded with KRS One, and run the High Focus and Real Life Drama labels. With a list of achievements this long, you'd be right to be very, very excited for the album and tour coming next month. On top of this, the upcoming album has a list of guest features that will make you lose your mind, including fellow High Focus artists Jam Baxter and Dirty Dike, RLD stalwart Smellington Piff, and hip hop legend DJ Premier. If the first single, "Single Flight" is anything to go by, then this will be a very special LP. Featuring a killer line up including Baxter The Four Owls, Dirty Dike, Onoe Caponoe, Edward Scissortongue, and many more, this was a strong contender for hip hop event of the year. The vibes were unbelievable, and it was pretty standard to end up chatting to a rapper for a while if you went outside for a smoke. Not only was the atmosphere on point, but so were all the acts - the punters kept coming back for more until the 6am finish. JAm bAxter "...so We Ate them Whole" Album lAunch PArty Baxter and friends bring the bars to Brixton Jamm HIPHOP/ RNB Jam Baxter has really come into his own with his second solo album "...So We Ate Them Whole". The album is a masterpiece, combining together Baxter's darkly humorous lyrics with killer production from Chemo. The beats are sludgy but have a definite groove to them – first single "Leash" even features a Roland 303, while "Caravan" begins with a stuttering drum beat beneath a funky melody and Baxter's rapping. No matter how good the beats are, Baxter's vocals were always going to be the star of the show - and he doesn't disappoint. You need this album!
