Located at the top of Red 7, one of the finest runs in the valley, the shack provides stunning views, Rompa's Reggae rum punch and a super smooth soundtrack. GuEStLiSt REcommENdS: RompA'S REGGAE ShAck SNoWbombiNG The shack is back for the fourth year in a row All the way from Bermuda, Buddz mixes hip-hop style rhymes and production with rhythms from roots reggae, soca and dancehall to create a unique sound. The 2006 debut single 'Come Around' shows how a balance of these sounds can create absolutely massive tracks. Newer releases have drifted more towards club friendly party anthems – he appeared on the remix of Kid Cudi's 'Day n Nite', and teamed up with Riff Raff and Snoop Dogg for 'Yesterday'. Latest drop 'Prescription', a collab with producer Supa Dups of Black Chiney, premiered on Complex last month, "Collie Buddz just wants to walk into a dispensary to get his medicine. And that's, essentially, all his new track "Prescription" is about, which may or may not end up on his forthcoming album. (He says it's in the works for this year and, he knows, it's long overdue)." Buddz is a busy man; a s well as being a producer and a musical engineer, Buddz has also founded a record label and radio station back home in Bermuda. He recently brought his Live Life Tour, and massive hype, to Europe, playing three gigs in London, Birmingham and Glasgow. He's also just announced a string of new shows for the US as part of his Prescription Tour, which will start in April in Colorado. Strap in America, Buddz is coming! Both the song and video emphasise the shared responsibility in society, showcasing the group's penchant for crafting culturally informed lyrics. As lead singer Dean Forrest explains, "The video echoes the song's cathartic journey of reaching tipping point, and then starting anew." Backbeat Soundsystem build upon the conscious social commentary championed by the reggae tradition. 'Come Undone' addresses the mistake of inaction in the face of malevolent forces and emphasises our shared responsibility in building a better future. This philosophy of reflection and union is apparent throughout their album Together Not Apart.
