By Margaret Brand The Review-Mirror Cost of 2014 municipal election campaigns in Rideau Lakes ranged from Councilor Claire Gun- newiek's $359 to the $4766 Mayor Ron Hol- man spent to retain his seat. Last Friday was the deadline for candidates to submit election expense reports, a deadline that has strict penalties for last October's winners and losers. Mayors, councillors and school board trustees who do not submit their expenses on time forfeit their office. Candidates who did not file are barred from seeking office in the following election.
