The party kicks off on Friday 1st May with Amnesia favourites Hector Couto and Cuartero's Balearic beats and No Artificial Colours' bassline driven house. Saturday 2nd May gets even bigger with a headline slot from legendary Chicago house selector Green Velvet. New international Egg resident Nick Curly will lay down some sultry house beats alongside techno queen Nicole Moudaber. 2. city sound Project, 2nd-3rd May If you fancy escaping London, head south to Canterbury for the eclectic, cross-genre City Sound Project. Headline acts include Tough Love, Disciples, Fono, Dizraeli, Matt Jam Lamont, MNEK, Blonde, Rae Morris, The Four Owls, Vaults, and Icarus will play across twelve unique stages across the city. The festival is also hosting Secret Sets, a series of unannounced gigs throughout the weekend in some of Canterbury's most intimate venues. Download the dedicated app to get all the secret deets! 3. Magna carta iBiza send-off, 3rd May Magna Carta are putting on a mammoth show at the O2 Brixton Academy to send the crew off to Ibiza in style. DC10 resident and Moon Harbour label boss Matthias Tanzmann, and techno royalty Kevin Saunderson are in charge of serving up the Ibiza vibes. The rest of the bill focuses on hot UK talents with Tribal Sessions resident Darius Syrossian, Hot Creations man Richy Ahmed, Josh Butler, Leftwing & Kody, Mark Jenkyns, and Max Chapman all lining up. 4. streetfest 2015, 3rd May For all things street, head down to Tobacco Dock on Bank Holiday Sunday, as StreetFest fuses live art, dance, fashion, urban sports, music, street food, tattooing and much more. Confirmed names for the Adidas Main Stage include; DJ headliner Kutmah, MC Soom T, Isaiah Dreads, Elijah & Skilliam, and Ego Ella May. Look out for a whole host of unsigned acts, graffiti artists, b-boy and b-girl crew battles, BMX demos and delicious street food. With two bank holiday weekends in one month, May just might be our fave time of year. We've rounded up some of the best parties to make sure you maximise your mega May weekends.
