Butler service, welcome bottles of champagne and chocolates on the pillow have long been surpassed by some incredibly sophisticated or surprise offerings. At the stylish, contemporary Upper House, the suites' bathrooms leading to a diamond shaped bath alcove with views over Hong Kong are breathtaking, while guest profiles lead to extras like specially chosen romantic music and movies plus snacks. Movies also feature at The Peninsula Hong Kong, but in The Peninsula Suite when you tire of the balcony overlooking Victoria Harbour you'll find your very own private screening room, while there's also a baby grand piano for personal serenades. The journey is as significant as the destination here, with a chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce at your beck and call, and direct access to the rooftop helipad for aerial city tours. Alfresco space in this condensed city is a true luxury particularly appreciated by locals booking in for a staycation. At The Mira Hotel's Platinum Suite the interior is of purple and silver interiors by Charles Allem with a glass mosaic wall and bar, but it is the 800sqft wired-for- sound outdoor terrace with oversized Jacuzzi surrounded by leafy bamboo that impresses the most. At the InterContinental Hong Kong the Terrace Suite not only encourages couples to lounge in the Jacuzzi while soaking up the panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island's neon skyline, but also book an alfresco champagne breakfast or private dinner and even sleep under the stars. While the InterContinental's indoor four-poster is luxurious, at the Luxe Manor's Liaison suite you'll find a seductive circular bed. Add in the double bathtub and revealing Venetian mirrors and it will be tough to leave for a romantic Nordic dinner at FINDS' private dining room or an evening of jazz at the Dada Bar. Hullett House's white-on-white Silvermine Suite is designed to be the epitome of romance. The 1880s building combines a sense of history, colonial interiors and hugely spacious rooms overlooking the foot of Kowloon. While champagne, strawberries and rose petals will be waiting for you, even better, your butler will help you record your proposal, which will be played back to you on your 46-inch in-room screen. And trust the W Hong Kong to do romance sensationalised. Their Dare to be Fabulous package includes a personalised DJ disc among other perks, while their Love Rules Room Package offers 24-hours of R-Rated movies and a surprise flirty gift box. The Peninsula suite is high on romance.
