The 10-piece collective have managed to combine the energy from their live sets with evolved songwriting and refined musical prowess to create their best work to date. Food Chain is an album of anthemic songs with socially conscious lyrics, set to bold brass lines and hypnotic danceable grooves.The release represents a new level of discipline for the group, keeping true to the original principles of the Afrobeat movement and paving the way for its future as a unique and exciting genre to be heard and enjoyed globally. Since Michael Eavis invited London Afrobeat Collective to open the West Holts at Glastonbury, the band have become a highlight on the festival calendar, having staged highly acclaimed performances at Bestival, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Secret Garden Party, Boomtown Fair, Green Man, Standon Calling, Wilderness and more. Their eponymous debut album, successive single releases and remixes have been supported and endorsed by the likes of Questlove on OkayAfrica and BBC Radio 6 Music's Craig Charles Funk and Soul show. The band has also recently confirmed a tour of Nigeria, where they will play four shows across the country as part of the annual Felebration festival. After what seems like a long wait, Foston Musik man Patoranking has finally dropped the visuals for his bashment jam 'Daniella Whine'. The video, directed by Clarence Peters and shot in Lagos, shows us the colourful side of Patoranking, and features some big dance steps, as well as cameos from Nigerian artists, including Terry G. 'Daniella Whine' is a class dancehall tune, with expert production from Slick Mo. This is a straight-up party tune that is guaranteed to make your body move, so we're expecting this to get a lot of spins this summer.
