BY MARK KARIYA PHOTOS PROVIDED BY THE KURT CASELLI FOUNDATION As a successful, world-class racer, Kurt Caselli realized he was a role model and an inspiration to many. It is unlikely, however, that the versatile 30-year-old Southern California native realized just how quickly his legacy might grow after his untimely death, and how far- reaching it would all become through the Kurt Caselli Foundation (KCF) established in his honor by family and friends. Racing is, of course, an inherently dangerous activity, no matter how skilled the participant may be. As in life itself, it's impossible to completely eliminate all risks. But the core of the Foundation's existence is the belief that risks can be minimized by constantly examining factors, such as consistent and proper course marking and aerial support to function as the lead 084 SCORE JOURNAL
